Yvonne Lawlor CDG is a casting director working across TV, film and commercials, with eight years in the industry and credits that span BBC, ITV, Amazon, Disney+, Paramount+, Netflix and HBO. Her work includes House of David, Malpractice Series 2, Shardlake, The Doll Factory, I May Destroy You, and Small Prophets; Mackenzie Crook's BAFTA-winning series for the BBC.
Most recently, Yvonne cast A Woman of Good Abilities, a feature film shot in the North East starring Vinette Robinson and James Nelson Joyce, directed by Mark Chapman, which received its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Based across London and Manchester, and now living in Yorkshire, Yvonne is passionate about bridging the gap between the North, the South and the Midlands, ensuring actors from every corner of the UK have the same platform and opportunities. Diversity and inclusion sit at the heart of her work. She wants audiences to feel seen on screen, and she's looking for the actors who can make that happen.
Scripts will be sent to all participants on Friday 5 September, giving you a full week to prepare. You'll be paired with another actor and perform your scene for Yvonne on then day. You'll receive her notes and re-direction, then get back on your feet and perform it again. Each session closes with a dedicated Q&A.
Class A runs from 11am to 2pm
